Divorce Financial Mediation. Business Dispute Resolution. Valuation Services.

How is our process different than traditional mediation?

At ValuationMediation.com, we are different than traditional mediation services by focusing on complex financial matters, particularly in divorce cases. Unlike conventional mediation, our process involves a financial expert as the mediator. Our professionals are experts at analyzing tax returns, financial statements, bank statements, retirement accounts, and addressing maintenance, alimony, and child support issues specific to the state.

Our approach incorporates a unique perspective when dealing with divorces involving businesses or valuations. Our mediation process utilizes a financial expert as the mediator, with each party encouraged to have their own attorney for support. In summary, our method stands out by providing specialized financial expertise within the mediation framework, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of financial intricacies in family mediation cases.

Not sure where to start?

  • Financial Neutral: A financial neutral is an impartial professional, often with expertise in finance and accounting, who assists parties in resolving financial issues during mediation or other dispute resolution processes. They provide objective guidance on matters like asset valuation, income analysis, and financial planning to help individuals make informed decisions.

  • Divorce Mediation: Divorce mediation is a process in which a neutral third party, known as a mediator, helps a couple going through a divorce to communicate and reach agreements on various aspects, such as property division, child custody, and financial matters. The goal is to facilitate a cooperative and mutually acceptable resolution, often avoiding the need for a court trial.

  • Family Dispute Resolution: Family dispute resolution refers to the various methods and processes used to resolve conflicts within families, especially in legal matters such as divorce or child custody disputes. It includes mediation, negotiation, and other approaches aimed at finding mutually agreeable solutions while minimizing the need for litigation and promoting a more amicable resolution.

If you are just getting started, maybe you haven’t even discussed divorce with anyone, or you want an economical way to get the answers to your questions - purchase the training below and get started immediately.

The training answers questions regarding the divorce process; how to collect documents; determine your income, expenses and budget; list your property; find resources in your state; determine who needs to be on your team; and access to spreadsheets that will help you keep everything in order.

Getting divorced is expensive and if you have big issues involving money, kids or a narcissistic spouse - you will need a team on your side, which increases the stress and cost.

Pay for the people you need, not to ask your initial questions.

Be mindful when you ask your FINANCIAL questions - make sure you are seeking a divorce financial professional - or in this case a divorce financial mediator.

Keep the legal questions for the lawyers.

We will have a companion journal to help track your progress and keep your notes in one place - coming soon.

  • $5,000-10,000

If you and your spouse own a business that sells services or products or even a holding company with real estate, we can work with both of you to determine the value of the business and review it with you online.

There are significant benefits in hiring one expert, as opposed to each of you hiring separate valuation companies to provide written reports which could cost $10,000 each. If the experts disagree (which is normal) then a third expert may be hired to serve as the “referee” for the first two experts.

You can see how the costs will escalate quickly.

Our process is focused on clear communications, transparent process, exchange of all financial documents for each spouse to review, and discussions about the business with everyone present to hear the answers.

We work to help the couple determine how to utilize the business, cash flow and property in the most beneficial way for the couple or entire family.

  • Mediators are neutral professionals. Their role is to help individuals clearly define issues, keep lines of communication open and promote discussion and resolution. Mediators do not make decisions for a couple. Rather the couple is in charge of making their own decisions about what the future, their children’s future and finances will be. Some of the issues that mediation addresses are plans for parenting children, division of property and future financial provisions. Mediation can be done both pre and post divorce.
